This workshop will look at translating choreography to the screen, cinematography and collaboration in dance filmmaking. Through the lens of her own dance filmmaking practice Mary will discuss and explore the creative and technical challenges, opportunities and processes involved in making dance film works. Using her most recent works created in collaboration with Joan Davis, Mary Nunan and Liz Roche, Mary will stimulate dialogue and provide insight into creating works of feature-length, short film and installation for dance film.
